About Us

OÜ Pigipada was established in 2010 as a privately held production enterprise. The company is located in the Paide municipality, Sillaotsa village and mostly produces bitumen-emulsions.

In 2010, Pigipada cooperated with the Danish company ENH Engineering A/S to construct a bitumen-emulsion factory and, by the end of the year the company produced its first 400 tonnes of bitumen-emulsions. Today, the company produces nearly 30,000 tonnes annually. Our products are used from Northern Finland to Latvia, but despite the 2,000 km operating scope, our primary market is still Estonia. In addition to the factory in Paide, we also produce bitumen-emulsions in a Southern Estonian facility in Tsirguliina, where we primarily supply the Southern Estonian and Latvian markets.
Our employees are experts in their field and support the company’s further development. This is a mutually beneficial relationship, as Pigipada also develops the development of our employees.
The company has an in-house laboratory for production process quality control and product development. The laboratory is also equipped with a pilot-plant, a small emulsion factory used for product development. This means that the company can test various products and quality control decisions before initialising the actual production. We also create new products according to our clients’ needs and requests. In addition, we use particle sizing and design our emulsion’s particle sizes according to the product’s requirements. A Mastersizer 3000E device is used for this purpose.
